You Are An Auteur!
An auteur is someone who is multi-talented and passionate enough about so many things that they want to explore them all to the max. Usually that term is used to describe a movie director with a unique vision that no one else can copy, or copy well.
An auteur is the perfect person to be adopting a video strategy, because video touches so many forms of communication. It is the perfect auteur playground.
The only question may be why haven’t you done this before now? Among all the people who have an interest in using video to move their businesses forward, you have all the skills in the right measure to make this very successful, all by yourself.
But that doesn’t mean you have to do it all yourself.
One of the problems of being an auteur is that you have a singular vision which may make it hard to find others who can help you in the various functions of making video.
The hardest will be the writing. Everyone’s style will feel too this or that; too boring or too cutesy; too dry or too conceptual. You probably should remain in the writing role and maybe find others who can shoot and edit, unless those are really fun for you and you’re really good and fast at it.
Where you may really need help is in the strategy piece. This is the only part where you may have slightly less of a "feel" for what needs to be done.
I'm going to send you some guidance on this starting today. It always helps to get more clarity so that you can gracefully side-step the blocks that have been holding you in place.
